Racial slur scrawled in Piano Row dormitory

It was lettered in blue pen on the white space for comments, framed by orange construction paper on a bulletin board on Piano Row's eighth floor. Below it, in red marker, a rebuttal from the floor's resident assistant, Cheyenne Postell: "To whomever wrote this, I don't find it funny in any way shape or form, so in the future keep it off the board and to yourself."

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has claimed a green motive for its plan to dig up Boylston Street and build a bus tunnel beneath Emerson's campus. It's a make-up project designed to mitigate the environmental damage caused by the Big Dig project, said MBTA spokeswoman Lydia Rivera.

Media Arts MFA to be added next fall
